You publish a book.

Then you go online looking for what to do next.

And suddenly you’re told to:

• Run ads
• Start a newsletter
• Build an email list
• Post daily
• Start a podcast
• Be on every platform

And none of it is wrong.

But all of it at once?

That’s where things fall apart.

Because the advice is missing context.

It’s not asking the most important question:

What kind of author are you trying to be?

Your Perspective

I went through this myself.

Trying to keep up.
Trying to do everything.
Trying to follow advice that didn’t even match what I wanted.

And it felt like I was behind.

But I wasn’t behind.

I was just misaligned.

And once I understood that, everything got clearer.

Not easier—but clearer.

Because I stopped chasing everything and started focusing on what made sense for my lane.
