Hey everybody, Kelly here. This episode is part of the April series, and this one is about something we don’t think about enough when we publish a book.
Commitment.
Watch the full episode:
When you finish your book, it feels like the end. You’ve done it. You’ve published it. It’s out there.
But it’s not the finish line.
It’s the starting line.
That’s where the real question begins—how long are you willing to stay with the work?
Because not every author is building the same thing.
Some people write one book and move on.
Some people write because they love it.
Some build slowly.
Some build something bigger.
None of those are wrong.
But what creates frustration is not deciding.
Another part of this is time.
How long are you willing to talk about your book?
How long are you willing to stay connected to it?
How long are you willing to show up for it?
Because sometimes the impact doesn’t happen right away.
Sometimes it comes later.
And you have to still be there when it does.
Key Takeaways
• Publishing is the beginning, not the end
• Every author’s path should be intentional
• Commitment shapes your results
• Books can grow over time
• You have to decide what this journey is for you
