When Your Content Doesn’t Air: The Real Problem with Content Scheduling Platforms

When Your Content Doesn’t Air: The Real Problem with Content Scheduling Platforms

Let me just be honest for a minute.

Last week, Wednesday’s episode of **The Author’s Mic™** and **BTA Fridays™** never aired.

The crazy part is, I actually did everything I was supposed to do. I recorded the content, uploaded the content, scheduled the content, and for whatever reason, it still didn’t air.

That’s the issue.

I’ve been using **Content360** to upload all of my content, and over the past couple of weeks I’ve noticed it’s been glitching. Some things play just fine, and then other things don’t. It’s been very hit and miss for me.

So first, I apologize for the inconsistency.

I mean, it is what it is. I’m definitely not angry because it’s not the end of the world. It’s not like I’m out here bringing earth-shattering information every week. But I do care about consistency, and I do care about being honest about the things that happen when you’re building a platform, because this is part of it too.

Sometimes the challenge isn’t creating the content.

Sometimes the challenge is the technology you’re relying on to get that content out into the world.

And then you have to figure out whether you keep pushing through with that system or whether it’s time to pivot and try something else.

Right now, the jury is still out on Content360.

I’m going to give it another shot because one thing I absolutely do not want to do is manually go to every single platform every single week and upload everything one by one.

I’m just not doing that.

That sounds exhausting because it is exhausting.

And more importantly, it’s not sustainable.

That is definitely the choo-choo train to burnout, and that is not a train I’m trying to get on.

I work full time. I run **Bright Headed Publishing**. I record content. I host **The Author’s Mic™** and **BTA Fridays™**. I write. I build programs like **TrustBridge™**. I host live events. I’ve got a lot going on, just like many of you do.

At some point, systems matter.

You need systems that actually support what you’re building instead of creating more work.

That’s really the bigger conversation here.

A lot of people look at content creators and think the hard part is creating the content.

Sometimes it is.

But honestly, sometimes creating the content is the easy part.

The hard part is distribution.

Getting that one video, that one podcast, that one blog post to YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, your website, your newsletter… all of that takes time.

And time matters.

I say this all the time: **time is currency**.

Every extra manual task costs something.

Maybe it costs energy.

Maybe it costs focus.

Maybe it costs peace.

Maybe it costs creativity.

But it costs something.

That’s why I’m always paying attention to systems.

If a system saves me time, great.

If a system creates more work than it solves, then we have a problem.

So yes, I’m probably going to test a couple of other platforms. I’m looking at **Buffer**, maybe one or two others. We’ll see.

And if you’re somebody who creates content regularly and you use a platform you actually trust for scheduling and uploading, let me know, because I’m genuinely curious.

This is a real pain point for creators.

Especially creators trying to stay visible across multiple platforms without losing their minds.

Maybe when I’m fully back from break, we’ll talk more about content platforms and scheduling tools, because I actually think it’s an important conversation.

Especially for authors.

Especially for small business owners.

Especially for creators building something while also juggling real life.

Because working harder is not always the answer.

Sometimes the answer is simply better systems.

And sometimes those systems remind you real quick that they’re not as reliable as you thought.

That’s business.

You adjust, pivot, and keep moving.

That’s what I’m doing.
