This past week has been a strange one. A lot of personal reflection. A lot of synchronicities — little things that kept pointing me in the same direction. And it reminded me why I even started this series in the first place.

What Is BTA Fridays™?

BTA stands for Breaking the Algorithm. And yes, that’s literally what I’m trying to do — break the patterns that keep indie authors invisible, unheard, or stuck trying to “game the system.”

Because here’s the truth: I got tired of the grind.

I got tired of putting in work and seeing silence.

I got tired of waiting to be chosen.

So I decided to build something instead.

What We're Really Doing Here

This isn’t just about social media or tech algorithms.

It’s about the systems that tell us we’re not good enough unless we have 10,000 followers or a viral moment.

BTA Fridays™ is about pushing back against all of that.

It’s about showing up consistently, creating from a place of purpose, and finding new ways to connect that don’t require begging or burning out.

Each week, I bring you tools, strategies, and real talk for authors who are tired of doing all the “right” things and still getting nowhere.

Because you don’t need to be famous to make an impact.

You just need to build something that lasts — and invite people into it.

The Bigger Picture

BTA Fridays™ was born out of frustration — but it’s rooted in community.

It’s not just about my voice. It’s about ours.

It’s about breaking cycles and building platforms that don’t rely on luck or likes.

This space is for the indie authors who are writing in the dark.

For the storytellers trying to get traction.

For the creatives who know they have something powerful to say — and are ready to say it, no matter who’s watching.
